Drop Off is 7:50 AM

School drop off time is 7:50 AM. Students arriving at school prior to 7:50 AM will be sent to morning daycare. Please do not drop off students on Fremont and ask them to walk through the parking lot. We would also ask that parents do not park in parking lot and walk students across. These are safety issues and we want our students safe.

Yes we are aware that Fremont, North and Sutter Streets back up from 7:45-8:00 AM daily as do ALL schools in the City of Manteca. Help us keep our kids safe in the chaos.

Tuesday, August 15 is a Holy Day of Obligation for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass times are 9am, 5pm and 7pm in Spanish.

Students will attend Mass on Tuesday at 9am. Please insure they are in Mass attire. They will not attend Mass on Thursday.

Volunteers

If you are planning to volunteer this year (and we hope you do), you must have completed your fingerprints, Virtus training and signed off on the Volunteer Agreement before you can be in the classroom or events where students are in attendance (including the Harvest Festival and Barn Dance).

**Fingerprinting is only done once. Virtus and Volunteer Agreements have expiration dates and need to be updated. If you are not sure if you need to update, please contact Kelly Holdren in the front office.

Garden Club begins Aug 23

Interested in joining Garden Club? We will meet on Wednesdays at 3:15 til 4:15. This club is open to 2nd through 8th grade. See the office for a permission form. Our first meeting will be August 23. We have a super variety of items already planted and we will soon start to plan for our winter garden.

Religious Drift, Is It Inevitable?

Many families lament about their children leaving the Catholic faith. John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis have all written on the subject of Catholic culture and how to renew it in our families. Dr. Christian Smith of Notre Dame conducted a study to figure out the greatest predictor of religious commitment.

Regularly talking about their faith.
Faith was very important to them.
Involved in religious activities.

The single most decisive factor of children remaining committedly Catholic to adulthood was the degree of religiousness exhibited by their parents. (April/June 2017 The Catechetical Review)

There are opportunities at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for students and parents to be engaged. We have bible studies, youth ministry, ministries of every shape and size, and community builders such as the Harvest Festival. If you are not seeing something you are interested, ask a staff member or school member and we can help make it happen. Be involved, just showing up is not enough.

Please email scrip at scrip@sasmanteca.org to place your scrip order or call the school office. Remember to include a contact number. Any items we do not have in stock will automatically be put on backorder unless otherwise stated by you.

Please do not order physical cards through RaiseRight. If you would like physical cards please obtain them from our scrip office.

The online RaiseRight program is an excellent way to earn your Scrip profit on the go! ALL physical cards must be ordered through our Scrip office.
